That 70’s Show star, Danny Masterson was accused of rape and sexual assault by four women in 2016 and 2017. Only becoming really publicized in 2019, the women have chosen to sue Danny Masterson and the Church Of Scientology. Bobette Riales, Chrissie Bixler, and two other anonymous women filed for a lawsuit in August of 2019.
Bixler explained that she had lived with Masterson in the 1990s and early 2000s. During this time she endured sexual abuse and rape from Masterson on multiple occasions. She explained on one occasion,
“The last thing I remember is getting up from the restaurant to go home. Complete blackout,”.
This claim revolves around the idea that Masterson had drugged Bixler. She had also gone on to explain that there were other times where she had believed she was drugged by Masterson. She went on to describe the incident, stating, “I’m in a lot of pain.’ I was ripped. I was injured. He started laughing. He said, ‘Oh, I had sex with you last night.’ I said, ‘Was I unconscious?’ He said, ‘Yeah.’” . Bixler recalled this as one of the times Masterson had admitted to raping her. Bixler explained that this had happened all throughout their boyfriend/girlfriend relationship in the early 2000s.
Bixler also went on to explain that, “two people chased her in her car while filming her after she filed her report; her dog also mysteriously died soon after.” . Bixler had thought that the Church of Scientology members had poisoned her dog. She and the other victims explained that they were stalked and harassed by members of the church after they came forward against Masterson. Riales claimed that, “she has been stalked and photographed, and that her email accounts have been hacked.”. The anonymous women had similar experiences to this. Riales also explained that her home and her food truck at the time had been mysteriously vandalized.
Besides this, Riales explained that Bixler’s allegations are similar to her own. That the two of them endured most of the same abuse during their time with Masterson. Riale’s stated via Twitter, “I stayed quiet long enough. Danny Masterson repeatedly raped me,”. Riales had not released any more details regarding her time with Masterson. The two other women had also expressed that were forced into sexual acts with Masterson during the ’90s and early 2000s.
As of June 17th, 2020, Masterson was arrested, and later let out on a 3.3 million dollar bond. He was charged with raping a 23-year-old woman in 2001, a 23-year-old woman in 2003, and a 28-year-old woman in 2003. He has yet to be convicted of these charges and is awaiting arraignment. His arraignment has been postponed to sometime in 2021. It has been rumored that Masterson plans to plead not guilty, as he has denied every allegation against him regarding his charges.
